Monarch is a player’s designation that was introduced for multiplayer games in Conspiracy: Take the Crown. The mechanic returned in Commander Legends and in the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Commander decks. This special marker can be used to indicate which player is the Monarch and is placed on the battlefield or in the command zone.
