‘Ello ladles and jellyspoons! Business as usual this week. “Strikes and gutters, ups and downs.” as The Dude might say.
[scryimg] lazav, the multifarious [/scryimg]
Lazav, the Multifarious up 175% now 4.87$ from 1.77$
Because Kethis Combo in Pioneer. Not much else to say.
[scryimg] paradigm shift [/scryimg]
Paradigm Shift from Weatherlight [Reserved List] up 123% now 4.69$ from 2.10$
Because of Thassa’s Oracle and it’s on the Reserved List. Any card that can one shot your whole library away before the Oracle resolves is in high demand right now.
[scryimg] yawgmoth, thran physician [/scryimg]
Yawgmoth, Thran Physician up 116% now 21.52$ from 9.95$
Hot hot new deck in Modern right now using the undying creatures to generate card draw. Took a 1st place finish at a SCG event recently and is the talk of the town. And just when I thought Modern was getting stale something that has been staring us right in the face emerges and spikes a tournament. Love it.
[scryimg] uro, titan of natures wrath [/scryimg]
Uro, Titan of Nature’s Wrath up 58% now 31.49$ from 19.84$
As much as I love the RB titan I must admit this one is arguably a better value and it appears other people feel that it is as well. Expect to see a lot of this card in Standard.
[scryimg] tainted pact [/scryimg]
Tainted Pact up 37% now 34.31$ from 25.00$
Hmm, it’s a card that can make your whole library go bye bye. Must not have anything to do with Thassa’s Oracle or anything… Oh and it only has one printing making it very vulnerable to this kind of garbage.
[scryimg] geralfs messenger [/scryimg]
Geralf’s Messenger up 24% now 7.05$ from 5.67$
One of the value creatures played in the Yawgmoth deck. Draw cards and drain your opponent for 2 life each time with him.
[scryimg] oko. thief of crowns [/scryimg]
Oko, Thief of Crowns down 17% 26.35$ from 32.00$
As expected, it’s pretty much banned in everything now lol. I’m just curious how low it will go with it only seeing demand from Legacy (which is a question in itself: how many people still play Legacy thanks to Pioneer?).
[scryimg] hermit druid [/scryimg]
And lastly, Hermit Druid down 49% now 14.99$ from 29.97$
Evidence that Hermit Druids spike last week was caused by a buy-out and not by organic demand. Some dude bought them all up, no one really wants them, and thus the price begins to plummet. #science
Welp, that’s all the stock talk for today folks! It’s been a whirlwind of a week. I will be interested to see how Modern shakes out in the coming weeks.
